IRS Racing Drop and Raise Plate Sets

These spring plates are sold in sets and are definitely recommended for all extreme performance and racing applications! This is not an exaggeration like a lot of other companies claim. Simply put, our Racing Drop/Raise Plates are overbuilt and are guaranteed for life! If you can break it then we will replace it with no questions asked, much like a high quality tool. The proof is in the parts:

The Spline Stubs are 2.0" in diameter and are made from 4340 chromoly steel. Then they are machine finished and welded to spring plates. The spring plates are 1/4" thick, laser-cut, grade 50 tool steel, which makes them about as tough as it comes. This is about the strongest material one can find to withstand constant shock, flexing and absorbing without losing shape as a spring plates should. These Drop/Raise Plates come standard with a matte black, silver, or translucent red powder coat finish (other colors $40 extra), which is far more durable and beautiful than the industry-standard cheap zinc coatings that you will find on most suspension components. They also come with their own laser-cut brushed stainless steel badges that set them apart from anything else in the world! They come in the following increments:


Stock Height

1.0” Drop

2.0” Drop

3.0” Drop

1.0” Raise

2.0” Raise

3.0” Raise

Keep in mind when making your selection that each spring plate has a variance of an inch in either direction. For example if you wanted to drop your VW 3.25” then you should purchase the 3.0” Drop Plates and then index them on your VW so that it sits 3.25”.

*Note: All IRS spring plates are supplied as a single spring plate. Be sure to specify wherher your suspension uses single or twin plates so that all bolt holes will line up.

Billet Dust Covers

Our medium-stub and long-stub (not short stub) spring plates are designed with open ends on purpose so that the torsion bar can be installed from the outside if the installer chooses to. Click here to see. However for those who insist on a clean look and do not want the torsion bar exposed to the elements, we manufacture dust covers. They are made from either billet aluminum or billet stainless steel, and use 4 set screws to hold firmly into place.
